My Story
Claire specializes in slow and thorough deep tissue work that is sometimes described as “muscle melting,” as well as craniosacral unwinding, prenatal massage, sports massage, stretching, and personalized yoga instruction. She is passionate about helping her clients experience lasting benefits: relief from pain, mental and emotional well-being, injury rehabilitation, improved range of motion, better sleep, and superior athletic performance. Underlying all of Claire's work is a keen awareness of the relationship between mind-body health and the outcomes of our life stories.
Having recently suffered a significant knee injury on the soccer field, Claire is increasingly fascinated with our ability to engage and strengthen muscles and movements that are weak or have been damaged. Always a teacher, Claire enjoys sending clients home with tools they can use to create basic yoga self-care routines that nourish openness and fluidity in the body.

My Approach
For those seeking integration and healing beyond the musculoskeletal system, Claire offers craniosacral unwinding, a la carte or integrated with deep tissue work. Craniosacral treatments are deeply relaxing, often even nap-inducing, as the practitioner uses gentle holds to track the movement of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the tissues of the body. As clients settle into a parasympathetic state (aka “rest and digest”), cerebrospinal fluid flushes damaging plaques from grey matter from the brain tissues (just as in sleep), resulting in a grounded sense of clarity and stillness in the body.
These treatments help resolve anxiety, stress, traumas or holding patterns in the nervous system. Craniosacral work is also particularly potent in treating pains or dysregulation in the head, neck, and spine, and is popular among those who suffer from chronic headaches, fatigue, and TBI.
Claire is a student of local teacher Heidi Wilson’s Fluid Healing, a newer school of craniosacral study stemming from osteopathy, embryology, and earlier visionary craniosacral work. The biodynamic model acknowledges the human healing system as a fluid part of the universal Breath of Life, and the practitioner serves as a facilitator for the inherent forces of health present in each body. Claire considers the consistent craniosacral work she has received to be the most potent factor in her path to healing trauma and embodying her personal power.
Claire has been licensed and practicing bodywork in Tucson, AZ since completing her studies at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in 2012. Claire holds a BA in Spanish, a Master’s in Secondary Education, a deep love of teaching and learning.
Claire continues to satisfy her curiosity about the fascinating multiverse of the human body through the lenses of nutrition, natural living, mobility and strength. Claire is a mother of one boy, as well as a writer, musician, and advocate for living fully while we’re here.
Claire is available for outcalls for a travel fee beginning at $60 for appointments in Tucson.
